Church Wedding Schedule
1.30pm CeremonyIf you are thinking of having a church ceremony, you may be wondering how this will fit into your schedule at Hanbury Barns.
Below is an example church wedding schedule to give you more of an idea of how your wedding day timings might look.
Please note that this schedule is based on our recommended 1.30pm ceremony time which may differ from your personal timings. The Events Team will be able to advise you on the best timings for your day and you will pre-arrange your schedule well in advance of your special day.
9am The Day Before
10am On The Big Day
Your wedding suppliers may arrive onsite from 10am to start setting up. This may include Hair and Makeup, Florists, Cake Makers etc.

10:30am - Arrival To The Dressing Room
You and your entourage arrive to The Dressing Room to begin all the pre-wedding prep.
Your photographer may want to join you to get some lovely 'getting ready' snaps.
12 Noon - At The Church
An hour and a half prior to the ceremony, one of you will arrive at the church with your wedding party ready to welcome guests.
This is also a great opportunity to grab some pre-ceremony shots.
1.30pm - Church Ceremony
The duration of a church ceremony can be anywhere from 20-45 minutes depending on the religion and denomination. The number of readings and hymns will also affect this.
We will discuss this beforehand to make sure we allow enough time in your schedule to fit everything else in when you arrive back at Hanbury Barns.
2pm - Church Photography
While your guests make their way to Hanbury Barns to be welcomed for The Drinks Reception, you may want to stay behind with your wedding party to grab some more post-ceremony shots at the church.
2.30pm - Time For Drinks!
Guests will arrive at The Woodend Barn and the joining Courtyard, welcomed by trays of celebratory drinks.
Drinks Receptions usually last around an hour and a half and offer the ideal opportunity to capture all those intimate couple shots while guests are busy chatting away and enjoying their drinks. You can sneak away as a couple to explore Hanbury Barns, while your photographer captures these first moments alone together as a married couple.

4.30pm - The Eland Barn
4.45pm - The Wedding Breakfast
Often one of the most enjoyable parts of the day, your bespoke menu and accompanying drinks are served up in style in the incredible Eland Barn.

6:15pm - The Speeches
7pm - 8pm - Socialise
8pm - The First Dance
Time to hit the dancefloor as newly weds!
Your first dance can be as casual or as formal as you want. There are no rules. Whether you choose a DJ, a live band, or even a ceilidh to kick start your evening celebrations, we have lots of recommendations on our Handpicked Supplier List.
8:30pm - Evening Refreshments
11:45pm - Last Orders
Midnight - The Bar Closes, All Guests Depart.
As the clock strikes twelve it's time to head for your cosy wedding pod for a peaceful night's rest.
12:15am - Hanbury Barns Closes
12:30am - All Guests To Have Departed The Venue
Our lovely team carefully transfer all your remaining belongings into secure overnight storage. Any unused drinks will also be safely stored ready for your collection slot the next morning at either 9am or 9:30am.
