Planning a wedding is a delightful adventure to look forward to. Yet, it's perfectly normal for it to bring a touch of nervousness. Rest assured, we're here to stand by your side and assist you every step of the way. Our Events Team is dedicated to leading you through the entire planning process. Starting from the moment you make your booking, all the way through your big day.

During your Wedding Planning Meeting, we'll delve into all details to ensure your big day unfolds just as you envision. We'll go through everything to gain an understanding of what's most importance to you. By taking care of these details, you can be sure that we will have everything under control. So you can relish every moment of your special day.

Approximately three months before your wedding, we'll invite you to Hanbury Barns for your Wedding Planning Meeting. While we'd love for this to take place in person, we acknowledge that some circumstances might make this challenging. In such cases, we're more than happy to arrange a digital meeting via Zoom.

Key Players

We'll confirm your guest counts for both the daytime and evening and identify your selected key people. These are the individuals you can count on to lend a hand during pivotal moments on your special day.

For instance, it's valuable for us to know who will be with you in the morning in The Dressing Room. Or who might be open to making announcements during the day.

This information enables us to envision the flow of your day. We can then craft a comprehensive plan to share with you. This plan is also beneficial to pass along to your suppliers so they're on the same page with the schedule. Of course, we understand that circumstances may shift. Don't worry as we're more than prepared to accommodate any last-minute changes.

Your Schedule

In our meeting, we'll finalise the schedule and timings for the day. Much of this will depend on your chosen ceremony time. Bare this in mind as all other timings will be coordinated around this such as:

Live music
Guest entertainment
Speeches
First dance
Cake cutting

Suppliers

The earlier you secure your suppliers, the smoother the process, as their schedules can fill up quickly! We kindly ask you to bring their contact information to the meeting. Having their information readily available is useful should we need to contact them prior to the big day.

Personal Touches

We're always eager to hear your creative ideas for styling the venue. It's good to discuss this early on to ensure it's compatible with the schedule. Given the innate charm of our gorgeous barns, even subtle personal additions can have a striking impact.

An external venue dresser may be required for more extravagant decoration. As your dedicated Event Manager has limited time on the morning of your wedding to arrange all of your items.

Your Wedding Soundtrack

Your music choice is a significant aspect of your day that reflects your unique identity as a couple. Your Event Manager will discuss and confirm these selections with you during your meeting.

Typically, couples opt for a few songs to commence and conclude the ceremony. As well as background music for guest arrival, which can be broadcasted through the venue's speaker system. Providing your music via a shared Spotify playlist is the most convenient way for us.

Remember, you also have the option to incorporate live music into your ceremony. A harpist or a gentle acoustic set can add an extra touch of romance to your ceremony.
